Below shows the crazy spending in this years premier league season
📈topping off at almost £3bn with a net at almost £2bn the highest in Premier League history.
Even without Chelsea's excessive spending this would still be the highest. Premier league is the super league.
⬛️2022/23 Netspend has Chelsea all the way up at £546m absolutely dwarfing everyone else this season..
🟦City for comparison had one of the lowest in the PL just behind Brighton who were joined with Everton and Leicester as the only clubs to have negative netspends.
🚨Chelsea also broke another record by spending £608m in one season. A record doubling the previous biggest window (£270m by MCFC in 2017/18)
On the sales side City by far had their best selling season ever at £194m
Will be doing another thread on the last 5 seasons that will show every PL clubs transfers across the last 5 years which helps gives better context on netspend. Additionally every transfer fee is sourced individually to ensure that the fees are accurate as possible.
