Looking at 10 years
Arsenals trend is the awakening of a sleeping giant. Similar trajectory to what Liverpool did during the initial Klopp years were they went from a yoyo top 4 club to a main stay CL and title contender.
Total revenue saw an increase of 33% from the year before almost doubling their £328m in 2021
Matchday revenue continues to go up another year with near 30% growth
Broadcast revenue thanks to Arsenals first Champions league campaign in 7 years saw them see increase broadcast revenue by £70m
Commercial revenue is also massively on the rise for Arsenal as success breeds success in this area.
Though with success (on and off the pitch) the costs of maintaining the squad generally becomes more expensive (as is expected)
Wages were up 40% up to £327m, while player amortization went up another 23% up to £171m
**wage rank is not 100% accurate yet as not all PL clubs have released 2024 numbers
Increasing Arsenals “squad cost” to £499m from £374m the year prior. On a squad cost control estimate that puts Arsenal around the 65%
On the player trading side Arsenal sold relatively better than the last few years but also outlaid huge spending windows spending a not so modest £780m on player purchases during the last 3 years.
Always interesting to compare the reported financial numbers to my collected fees that media reports where you can see a huge disparity in numbers due to agent fees, unreported add-ons or just simply under released numbers
On the player profit side Arsenal made £51m in player profit which directly impacts profit for the club
All in though Arsenal have yet to turn a profit over the last 6 years with their last profitable year coming in 2017/18 and a total loss over the last 10 years approaching £188m

Its also a bit early for comparison as not many teams have released their full accounts but as you can see from below Arsenal has quickly caught up now to the big spenders in the league only £55m behind United and £79m behind City for squad cost (will do a big comparison thread as every year once numbers are out)
